  4. Public Hearing: Proposed Amendments to Issaquah Municipal Code (IMC) 18.11, Signs

    April 22, 2021, 6:30 PM @ Virtual Meeting

The Planning Policy Commission will hold a hearing on April 22, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. The purpose of the hearing is to take public testimony on the proposed amendments to Issaquah Municipal Code (IMC) including but not limited to an extensive re-write of Chapter 18.11 Signs, which would be applicable to all areas of the City but excludes those areas currently under Development Agreements. Consequently, the sign regulations within the Central Issaquah Development and Design Standards, and the Olde Town Design Standards, would be repealed with relevant components integrated into the revised IMC 18.11. The proposed Sign Code is intended to bring the City’s existing regulations into compliance with the Supreme Court of the United States’ ruling on Reed v. Town of Gilbert (2015) including how to treat temporary non-commercial signs.
