Local Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3436 will host a Memorial Day Ceremony at Lower Hillside Cemetery. This year, due to COVID-19, the ceremony will consist of driving through the cemetery, beginning at 10 a.m. to honor those veterans who have fallen. There will be patriotic music and local veterans “Honoring the Fallen Vets” at the cemetery. Small U.S. Flags will be presented to children as cars drive by, using social distancing, which will be strictly adhered to during the “parade" of cars.
