How long must I be with your department before I can move to a higher rank or a specialty position?


Police Corporal
You must have two years of college, equivalent to an associate's degree and a minimum two years of experience in law enforcement with the Issaquah Police Department; or two years of college equivalent to an associate's degree a minimum of four years law enforcement experience with one year experience in law enforcement with the Issaquah Police Department and successful completion of probation.


Police Sergeant
You must have two years of college, equivalent to an associate's degree and a minimum of three years of experience in law enforcement with the Issaquah Police Department; or two years of college, equivalent to an associate's degree and a minimum four years of law-enforcement experience, and with one year law enforcement experience with the Issaquah Police Department and successful completion of probation.
