How can I apply?
We partner with independent service providers to offer a variety of programs and experiences to our community. Our application is available
online
.
2.
When should I apply?
You can apply at any time. However, if you wish to start your programs during a specific season, your proposal should be submitted three to six months before the season begins. 4.
Why would a proposal be declined?
A proposal could be declined for several reasons, including:
Your program does not meet our mission, values or goals.
We already offer a similar program for the same audience during a similar time frame.
We have offered similar classes in the recent past that have not been popular among our customers.
The program fees are too high.
We do not have adequate space for the program during your requested times.
Your program does not fit within our risk management guidelines.
We cannot currently offer your program due to budget limitations.
5.
What type of marketing and promotion will my program receive?
Your program will be marketed in our quarterly Recreation Guide in print and online. Additionally, you may provide program flyers to be displayed in our Community Center. If appropriate, programs may also be promoted through City's website and social media platforms, and via the Issaquah School District.
6.
How are service providers paid?
Service providers are paid based on a percentage of the Issaquah Resident Rate class fee, for example: 60/40 split of your desired instruction fee plus percentage to City, e.g. $100 per student breaks down to $60 to service provider, $40 to the City.
Professional Service Provider: If you operate as a professional business, have a business license, carry your own insurance and own all equipment and supplies, you will submit an invoice after the class is completed to receive payment.
Contract Pay Supplemental: If you do not have your own business, but have a special skill and training, you will be hired as a city employee and will submit a timesheet to receive payment.
