Disability Pride Month is celebrated every July to commemorate the passing of the landmark Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) in July 1990 and is an opportunity to honor the history, achievements, experiences, and struggles of the disability community. To celebrate, Kindering is hosting an inclusive Dance-a-Thon online event for everyone to participate. Kindering is a nonprofit neurodevelopmental center that embraces children of diverse abilities and their families.
The Dance-a-Thon will happen this week from July 24 - 31, the week Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed. If you wish to participate in Kindering’s Dance-a-Thon, post your photo or video on social media using #DisabilityPride and tag @Kindering. For more information, visit their Facebook page here.
