The blotter compiles incidents deemed noteworthy by IPD and does not include all calls, incidents or self-initiated activities handled by officers. IPD Weekly Crime Blotter


Call Type: Disturbance 

Time/Date: 2015, 06/05/23

Location: 5500 BLK EAST LAKE SAMMAMISH PKWY SE

Description: On 06/05/23, a few concerned citizens reported seeing a group of at least three individuals fighting in a parking lot. Officers arrived and after discussion with all involved subjects, arrested one male on investigation of two counts of Assault in the 4th Degree and transported them to the Issaquah City Jail. 

Call Type: Bomb Threat (Nothing Happened! False Report)

Time/Date: 1007, 06/07/23

Location: 100 BLK EAST SUNSET WAY

Description: On 06/07/23, an unidentified caller reported an individual was on their way to a court hearing with a possibly dangerous device and suddenly hung up with no additional information. Officers conducted an area check for the subject, only to hear from the court that the individual had arrived at their hearing via Zoom and that there was no threat. Officers finished their safety check and the subject’s hearing was not delayed; allowing justice to be served as originally scheduled. 

NOTE: All calls of this nature are taken very seriously. That said, sometimes individuals will call in hopes of delaying certain activities. In this case, there was no actual threat and thanks to everyone’s quick work, no delays either.

Time/Date: 1209, 06/07/23

Location: 2000 BLK Newport Way NW

Description: Around 1209 hrs, a call came in from a concerned resident stating their family member was not themselves and had assaulted another in the home. Officers arrived and after speaking to all parties, an individual was arrested on investigation of Assault in the 4th Degree and transported to the Issaquah City Jail.

Call Type: Theft In-Progress

Time/Date: 1414, 06/07/23

Location: 700 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: At approximately 1414 hrs, a subject was witnessed removing security tags off electronic devices and stealing them from a local store. Officers arrived and were able to detain the individual, who admitted to the crime. The subject was arrested on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree and transported to the Issaquah City Jail. 

Call Type: Theft In-Progress (Multiple)

Time/Date: 2150, 06/07/23

Location: 700 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: On 06/07/23, there were additional thefts reported from a local business. In each of these, the subjects were found concealing items and leaving the store. Officers were able to detain and arrest all subjects in these incidents on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree. All subjects were taken to the Issaquah City Jail. 

Call Type: Suspicious (Warrant Arrest)

Time/Date: 0152, 06/08/23

Location: 6200 BLK EAST LAKE SAMMAMISH PKWY SE

Description: Around 0152 hrs on 06/08/23, a man was witnessed lurking in the back doorway of a local business after hours. Officers arrived and asked the subject what they were doing and after checking their name, found the subject had multiple active warrants for their arrest out of neighboring jurisdictions. The subject was arrested and transported to the King County Jail on their warrants. 

Call Type: Theft In-Progress

Time/Date: 1610, 06/08/23

Location: 700 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: At approximately 1610 hrs, three females were witnessed stealing a large amount of merchandise from a local store and driving off in a white sedan. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and detain all three subjects. After confirming the three women had the stolen merchandise in their vehicle, it was discovered they all had warrants out for their arrest as well. Each of the subjects were arrested on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree, as well as on their warrants and were transported to the Issaquah City Jail. The large quantity of merchandise was recovered in full and returned to the local business. 

Call Type: Theft In-Progress (Multiple)

Time/Date: 06/09/23 - 06/10/23

Location: Multiple shopping centers

Description: There were quite a few additional thefts reported from local businesses. In each of these, the subjects were found concealing items and leaving the store. Officers were able to detain and arrest all subjects in nearly all of these incidents on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree. All subjects were taken to the Issaquah City Jail. 

Call Type: Traffic Stop / Reckless Driving

Time/Date: 1802, 06/11/23

Location: EAST LAKE SAMMAMISH SE & 62ND ST

Description: On 06/11/23, a man was seen driving without their seatbelt. When officers requested he pull over, the driver sped off into oncoming traffic in the wrong lane of travel, running a red light. Due to the risk of public safety, officers did not follow in pursuit of the driver. However, officers were able to get a positive identification for the driver and issued them a citation for Reckless Driving and Failure to Obey the Law.
