Call Type: Malicious Mischief / Juvenile-Related
Time/Date: 1014, 05/08/23
Location: 900 BLK 12TH AVE NW
Description: Between 1700-1800 hrs the previous day, two white juveniles were recorded destroying a local church’s property. The damage was not discovered until the morning of 05/08/23. Several sprinkler heads, a sign and the mailbox were all broken or damaged. Both suspects are described as white juveniles with medium-dark brown hair and black shoes. One wore a light blue shirt and gray sweatpants while the other wore glasses and all black clothing. Location: 2100 BLK NW Harmony Way
Description: On 05/09/23, a concerned relative called to request an officer check on their family members who were supposed to meet up with their father but never showed. Officers arrived to find they took simply took a nap and overslept. The family was just fine!

Location: 700 BLK NW Gilman BLVD
Description: Around 1639 hrs, a report came in from a local business stating that a man had stolen alcohol from them several times in the day and has come in on 3 other occasions and stolen merchandise from the store. The subject was found, trespassed from the location for 3 years, and arrested on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree.

Time/Date: 0940, 05/10/23
Location: 7600 BLK Renton-Issaquah RD SE
Description: On 05/10/23, a caller reported a 3-car vehicle collision on Renton-Issaquah Road. Officers responded, and after investigation, found one vehicle attempted to cross lanes and was hit by another vehicle driving down the street. The impact of the collision caused the turning vehicle to hit another car waiting to turn. Fortunately, none of those involved were severely injured. All vehicles were towed and the driver who turned into oncoming traffic was cited for “Failing to Yield, Left Turn”.
NOTE: There were multiple accidents on 05/10/23. As the sun begins to come out, please remember to slow down and look both ways before crossing anywhere. At certain times of the day, the sun can be almost blinding! Remember, safety first, Issaquah!

Description: Around 2306 hrs, Washington State Patrol called to request assistance with a semi car that was on fire. East Fire and Rescue arrived as an officer was pulling out their fire extinguisher, to put out the fire.

Location: 2100 BLK Shy Bear Way NW
Description: On 05/11/23, a resident called to report their apartment was broken into sometime in the last couple of days while they were away. When they returned, they arrived home to discover the door cracked open and various jewelry and kitchen items stolen from the home. Unfortunately, there was no video footage to identify the suspect(s) or determine when the crime occurred.

Location: 6000 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE
Description: Around 1630 hrs, a customer purchased a smartphone with cash and shorted the business by over half of the original cost before leaving the establishment with the unlocked phone. The suspect is described as a dark-skinned male, possibly of east Indian descent, wearing light blue jeans and a light-colored shirt. Location: 200 BLK Mountain Park BLVD SW
Description: On 05/12/23, a resident reported seeing a male on their cameras looking into their bedroom window while they were sleeping. The subject looked towards the camera and then walked away. The subject is described as a light-skinned male in their early 20’s with dark hair, wearing a light colored short sleeved hooded shirt, khaki pants, and dark hiking shoes with reflective material on the sides.

Time/Date: 0447, 05/13/23
Location: 4300 BLK West Lake Sammamish PKWY SE
Description: On 05/13/23, a call came in reporting a large car fire near a roundabout intersection. Officers arrived to secure the scene and investigate the causes. Eastside Fire and Rescue arrived and put out the fire, which fully engulfed the vehicle. An individual claiming to have been in the vehicle at the time of the accident refused to assist officers in their search for the driver and began hitting the officer’s car. The individual was arrested on investigation of Obstruction and booked into the Issaquah City Jail.

Time/Date: 1724, 05/13/23
Location: 2200 BLK NW Sammamish RD
Description: A caller reported their 6-year-old child was missing from the state park. IPD, WSP, and the Park Rangers were all called in to assist with locating the child. The mother eventually located the child near the beach, playing. No crime occurred! Thank you to all who came to assist with looking for the child.
Call Type: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)
Time/Date: 0302, 05/14/23
Location: I-90 FWY EASTBOUND Onramp.
Description: Around 0302 hrs on 05/14/23, a vehicle was seen driving the wrong direction, westbound in an eastbound lane of travel. The driver was pulled over and agreed to voluntary field sobriety tests. After completion of the tests, it was determined the driver was not able to safely operate their vehicle and was arrested on investigation of Driving Under the Influence and booked at the Issaquah City Jail.
