The blotter compiles incidents deemed noteworthy by IPD and does not include all calls, incidents or self-initiated activities handled by officers. IPD Weekly Crime Blotter


Call Type: Theft In-Progress

Time/Date: 1849, 05/01/23

Location: 1000 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: On 05/01/23, a local business called to report a male carrying a dark green bag had stolen a large amount of alcohol and run out of their store. Officers arrived and were able to locate the suspect based on the description and direction given. The suspect admitted to the crime and was arrested on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree. All merchandise was recovered to the store.  

Call Type: Theft In-Progress

Time/Date: 1911, 05/01/23

Location: 700 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: Around 1911 hrs, a local business called to report a male, wearing a black and red shirt with the number 51 on the back, had stolen a large amount of product and run out of their store. Officers arrived and were able to locate the suspect based on the description with all of the product. After getting a positive confirmation on their identification from the store, the suspect was arrested on investigation of Theft in the 3rd Degree. All merchandise was recovered to the store.  

Call Type: Weapons Offense/ Domestic Violence

Time/Date: 1700, 05/02/23 

Location: 100 BLK RAINIER BLVD N

Description: On 05/02/23, an individual called to report they had been stabbed by their partner during an argument, which resulted in roughly a one-inch wound. Eastside Fire and Rescue was also deployed to respond immediately. Officers arrived and took both person’s statements before arresting a subject on investigation of Assault in the 2nd Degree while the other was successfully treated by medics.  

Call Type: Vehicle Theft (and found!)

Time/Date: 1816, 05/02/23

Location: 1000 BLK NW GILMAN BLVD

Description: Between 1635 and 1800 hrs, a set of car keys were stolen from a gym bag which was securely locked away. When the individual went to locate their vehicle, it was missing from the parking lot, along with their phone, computer, and credit cards. Fortunately, after listing the vehicle as stolen, SirusXM was able to identify the vehicle’s location. Officers arrived and found the vehicle abandoned just off of Newport Way. The owner of the vehicle was notified they were able to come and retrieve their vehicle. 

Call Type: Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

Time/Date: 2252, 05/02/23

Location: 212TH AVE SE & SE 29TH ST

Description: Around 2252 hrs, a vehicle was reported to cross into oncoming traffic multiple times. Officers were able to catch up with the vehicle and observed the vehicle both driver off the side, as well as veer off into oncoming traffic. The driver was pulled over and agreed to voluntary field sobriety tests. After completion of the tests, it was determined the driver was not able to safely operate their vehicle and was arrested on investigation of Driving Under the Influence and booked at the Issaquah City Jail.

Time/Date: 2126, 05/03/23

Location: 1700 BLK NW SAMMAMISH RD

Description: On 05/03/23, an employee called to report that they found a male inside a secured area and was seen loading items from a unit and was attempting to leave. Officers responded to discover the individual was inside their unit during closing and was accidentally locked inside the premises during closing. No crime occurred! 

Call Type: Vehicle Theft (and found!)

Time/Date: 2357, 05/03/23

Location: 900 BLK NE HIGH ST 

Description: A woman reported her vehicle was stolen from a parking lot while shopping at store elsewhere in town. Their keys were taken from their purse and the car was subsequently stolen. A report came in that the vehicle was seen at another business with several juveniles smoking an unknown substance. Officers arrived to find the car empty with bags of a substance left behind. The owner of the vehicle as brought over to get their property. IPD is awaiting video footage from both businesses in hopes of identifying the suspect(s) involved. 

Call Type: Drug Problem/ Warrant

Time/Date: 0924, 05/04/23

Location: 6200 BLK EAST Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

Description: On 05/04/23, a call was received reporting at least 2 subjects inside a vehicle smoking a blue substance of foil. The caller also reported seeing the driver getting out of the vehicle and looking inside other cars in the parking lot. Officers arrived and found 3 subjects, all of which surrendered their drug paraphernalia and substances. The driver additionally had a warrant for their arrest out of a neighboring jurisdiction. The subject was arrested on their warrant and all drug paraphernalia and substances were catalogued and entered for destruction at the police department. 

Call Type: Suspicious

Time/Date: 1314, 05/06/23

Location: 2200 BLK NW Hidden LN

Description: On 05/06/23, a concerned neighbor called to report witnessing a male subject use a trash can to get into the 2nd floor of another unit. Officers arrived to find that the subject was the homeowner who left their garage opener and keys in the house. No crime occurred!  

Call Type: DUI 

Time/Date: 2249, 05/06/23

Location: I-90 FWY & Front ST N

Description: Around 2249 hrs on 05/06/23, a speeding vehicle was observed driving erratically and swerving into multiple lanes of travel. Officers caught up to the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. After conducting a voluntary field sobriety test, it was determined that the subject was unable to safely operate their vehicle was arrested on investigation of driving under the influence and reckless endangerment for driving under these circumstances with two children in the vehicle. The driver was additionally cited for driving without a valid license. 

Call Type: Accident, No-Injury

Time/Date: 2025, 05/07/23

Location: NW Gilman BLVD & 4TH AVE N

Description: On 05/07/23, officers were dispatched to a two-vehicle collision. The first driver was driving straight down NW Gilman BLVD when another vehicle turned in front of them. Both vehicles sustained substantial front-end damage, requiring towing of both vehicles. Both drivers had already exchanged information and were provided with their case information.
