200 BLK NE Gilman BLVD

On 01/16/23, 4 male suspects wearing black ski masks broke into a local business around 0132 hrs and stole a large quantity of specialty clothing before escaping in a purple sedan with body damage to the rear passenger fender. Officers were unable to locate the suspects.

700 BLK Front St South

Around 0252 hrs, a resident called to report someone was actively attempting to enter their home. When officers arrived, they found the suspect to be a neighbor who had been drinking and couldn’t find their home. Officers were able to get the individual home safely.

East Lake   Sammamish PKWY SE & SE 62nd St

At about 0841 hrs, a speeding vehicle hit a curb, lost control and then hit a city streetlight, causing an estimated $10,000 in damage. The driver was fortunately uninjured but was ticketed for speeding.

6000 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

On 01/17/23, a call was received from an employee of an ATM company reporting that a “skimming device” was found on an ATM at a local business. There are no known victims of credit card fraud related to this incident at this time. If you believe you are a victim of credit card fraud, please call the IPD non-emergency line or file a report online.

900 BLK NE High St

Around 0932 hrs, IPD received a call from an inquisitive child. The caller was a young child playing with their mother’s phone.

700 BLK NW Gilman BLVD

On 01/18/23, a white male was seen shoplifting a cart full of Legos from a local business. Officers were able to apprehend and arrest the suspect. All merchandise was recovered.

01/20/23, 1110

500 BLK MT Grenville PL SW

Around 1110 hrs on 01/20/23, a local resident called to report a suspicious vehicle potentially prowling mailboxes. Officers were able to locate a vehicle matching the description and questioned the driver. Stolen mail was discovered in the car, which was also returned as stolen. Officers arrested the driver thereafter.

5000 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

On 01/20/23, at approximately 1230 hrs, a resident reported their vehicle was broken into via a smashed passenger window, while parked in guest parking. Stolen from the vehicle was a purse, wallet with associated cards and yoga bag which were left in view.

6000 BLK East Lake Sammamish PKWY SE

On 01/20/23, at about 1413 hours, a caller reported being robbed at gun point by a man before he fled around the backside of the business. From surveillance video, the suspect is a medium-skinned male, about medium height. The suspect was last seen wearing a black "True Religion" logo hoody under a red and black checkered flannel jacket with black Nike sweatpants and tan shoes.

01/20/23, 2206

1600 BLK 25th AVE NE

Around 2206 hrs, a call came in reporting accidental gunfire at a residence. Responding officers found the reporting parties had been drinking and accidentally fired the semi-automatic assault rifle into the floor of their non-bottom unit apartment. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The subject handling the gun was arrested for reckless endangerment.

2000 BLK Newport Way NW

On 01/22/23, a resident reported their 92-yr old father missing. The man was later found deceased. No foul play is suspected. IPD wishes to thank all those who helped search for the individual and sends our deepest condolences to the family.

01/22/23, 2102

700 BLK NW Gilman BLVD

A call was received from a local business around 2102 hrs reporting they had apprehended a shoplifter. The suspect had tried to flee with nearly $300 dollars' worth of merchandise which was all recovered. Officers responded and arrested the detained individual who was very cooperative and admitted to the crime.
