Mayor Pauly is seeking five members to serve on the City’s Independent Salary Commission to review City Council compensation. The commission will study the relationship between councilmembers’ salaries and the costs personally incurred by councilmembers to perform these duties. In addition, the commission will examine how councilmembers’ compensation compares with nearby cities and market conditions. The commission is expected to begin meeting in April and complete its report by June 30.
Please note, qualified applicants must be a King County registered voter and a resident of Issaquah for at least one year prior to the appointment. No officer, official, or employee of the City or any of their immediate family members may serve on the commission. Current board and commission members are not eligible to apply.
