[ARCHIVED] Be Prepared: Winter Weather

Prepare for Snow Graphic Website

With winter weather in the forecast, now is the time to prepare for winter driving conditions throughout the City (even on treated roads), and remain cautious of snow and ice.

Check our traffic cameras for current road conditions via this Snow Route Status Map. If snow and ice do impact local streets, our dedicated crews will work around the clock to respond (thank you, team).

Issaquah’s snow response, however, may take longer than past storms depending on a variety of variables, including available staffing and the intensity of the storm. If that’s the case, our crews will always focus on clearing priority routes first. These routes are based on our previous experience with winter weather events and Issaquah’s varying elevations.

If your vehicle gets stuck in snow or ice, do not abandon it in a location that would block traffic, as those vehicles will be towed. After winter weather, if your vehicle isn’t where you left it, call the Issaquah Police Department’s non-emergency line at 425-837-3200.

During winter weather, also check Twitter for the latest updates.

City Facilities: December 20, 2022

Waste Pickup

Inclement weather can impact Recology’s ability to service your area. If your bins are not picked up on your service day, leave bins out to be picked up on the following day. Recology will make efforts to catch up on service routes as the weather and road conditions allow. See commonly asked questions on Recology's website.
