The City Council Safety, Services, & Parks Committee will be considering two items related to the Transit Oriented Development (TOD) project at the Nov. 15 Committee meeting.
The first item is an interlocal agreement with King County Housing Authority, the project developer, that formalizes some of the public benefits for the future TOD project. These benefits include the amount and type of affordable housing planned, the number of units for people with development disabilities, and the provision of 10,000 square feet of ground-floor unfinished space for the health services at the Opportunity Center.
The second item is a lease that would allow a cell tower to be relocated from the TOD project site to Tibbets Valley Park. The cell tower must move for redevelopment to occur and, after extensive analysis, the western parking lot at the park is the preferred location. Learn more about the TOD project.
We invite interested parties to attend and speak with the committee on either item as it relates to the TOD project.
