[ARCHIVED] Survey: Wayfinding Final Concept

Following a robust community engagement process, City staff have finalized a set of wayfinding sign concepts

Wayfinding Signage

Two of the sign styles have been manufactured and set up along the Rainier Trail, near the Community Center, for the community to see the prototypes.

Background

Wayfinding is a system of signs and visual cues that helps people navigate through a city, guiding them to key destinations such as parks, trails, schools and transit stops.

The City currently has a variety of different signs which can make navigating through Issaquah confusing. A new set of comprehensive City park, facility and wayfinding signage will ensure residents and visitors know how to find important destinations throughout our community.

Four preliminary sign design concepts were first presented to the public in May 2021. Community feedback from those concepts led to the creation of the final design being considered now.
