Lake Drive will be closed from the roundabout at SE 62nd Street to the 800 block of Lake Drive from August 25 at 4 a.m. to August 27 at 4 a.m.
This closure is necessary for construction crews to remove tower cranes. Costco is in the process of constructing a 1.2-million-square-foot headquarters expansion. The City recently completed the SE 62nd Street improvements in partnership with Costco to facilitate Costco’s new headquarter expansion and development. This roadwork will allow for easier access to stores in this area.
Previous detours in place for pedestrians and bicyclists will continue through this closure, and there will be no additional impacts. Detours are in place via 221st Ave SE, NW Sammamish Road and 10th Ave NW.
