[ARCHIVED] Join the Issaquah Planning Policy Commission

We would like to invite you to explore becoming a member of the Issaquah Planning Policy Commission!

The Planning Policy Commission serves as a policy advisory body to the Mayor and provides guidance and direction for Issaquah's future growth through continued review and improvement to the City's Comprehensive Plan, City-wide land use policies and related planning documents.

Current work plan items include:

  • Land Use Regulations Update;
  • City-wide 20 year Comprehensive Plan Update;
  • Housing Affordability and Diversity;
  • And so much more!

The Planning Policy Commission meets in person the second and fourth Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The Commission is comprised of seven regular members, and two alternates. We are looking to fill several vacant unexpired terms. All members are appointed by the Mayor and subject to confirmation by the City Council.

Qualifications?  Individuals should have an interest in environmental affairs, planning, land use, residential or commercial development as evidenced by training, experience or actions. City residency is required, or ownership or operation of a business located within the city limits.

If this sounds like an exciting volunteer opportunity, we encourage you to apply! Applications will be accepted through August 8.  If you have additional questions, feel free to contact the Long Range Planning Manager, Stephen Padua.
