[ARCHIVED] ORCA Card Updates on May 16

ORCA cards are getting an update!

Launching on May 16, 2022, the new myORCA mobile app and website will make paying for transit rides in the Puget Sound region faster and easier. You will be able to add fare value in real-time, manage your account and find more retail locations closer to you. New ORCA card readers and vending machines are being installed across the region.

What Do You Need To Do?

If you already have an ORCA card, keep using it. On May 16, 2022, connect your card and set up your account on myORCA.com or via the myORCA mobile app. If you share an ORCA card with someone, get ready to use the new system by making sure each rider has their own card. Group fares for school trips and caregivers will still be available.

Answers to other questions can be found by visiting ORCA's FAQ page.

What Is Coming In The Future?

More customer benefits are planned after the app launches:

  • Mobile tap-to-pay options will become available in 2023.
  • ORCA cards will be available in more retail stores beginning in Summer 2022. This will make ORCA more convenient for customers who want to buy cards or load value in person.

If you have any questions, visit myORCA.com or call 888-988-6722.
