Drivers should expect one-way alternating traffic along the 1900 block of Newport Way NW from 8:45 a.m.-3:45 p.m. starting Wednesday Aug. 19, as crews will be completing work related to the Newport Way NW frontage improvements for the RIVA project.
The westbound bike lane will be closed and bicyclists will be directed onto the Shared Use Trail. Flaggers will be on site to provide safe passage for the pedestrians and bicyclists traveling through the project area.
Work is expected to be completed by the end of October barring any weather related delays.
Future work including the final road construction for a portion of the eastbound lane located adjacent to the slide from the King County Parks parcel will take place in the summer of 2021.
