The Puget Sound Regional Council recently awarded the City of Issaquah $2.2 million that will be used to acquire right-of-way for improvements on Newport Way Northwest from Southeast 54th Street to state Route 900 in 2024.
City engineers are currently finalizing plans to:
- Incorporate planter/sidewalk removal and revised wall design along Bergsma
- Incorporate final conditions following private development along the corridor
- Finalize culvert design at creek crossings
- Coordinate with franchise utility providers
When completed, this multi-year capital improvement project will provide continuous improvements throughout the corridor for pedestrians, cyclists, drivers and those accessing their neighborhoods. Learn more online.
