During the Governor’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order, you may still see some construction activity. Exemptions primarily include emergency repairs and replacement; public transportation and utilities; food service, preparation and distribution; and low-income housing projects.
In the Newport neighborhood, work crews are still present for the Riva project, which is a 36-unit townhome development. The 8.39-acre project site is located northeasterly of Cougar Mountain, bounded by Southeast Newport Way to the east, and the Sammamish Pointe Development to the north. Continued construction is allowed on Building 8, which consists of four unit townhomes. Work permitted includes closing up roof structures so that interior damage from water and elements is limited.
