[ARCHIVED] Volunteer: Camera Trapping Project

The Issaquah Parks Department and Woodland Park Zoo are looking for volunteers!

If you are interested in learning what type of wildlife shares Issaquah trails and green spaces, please apply to volunteer with the Issaquah Parks Carnivore Project.

The Zoo and Issaquah Parks Department need 12 to 18 volunteers to help run this camera trapping project. Volunteers will help place six remote cameras in Tiger Mountain, Cougar Mountain, and Grand Ridge parks; check the cameras throughout the spring, summer, and fall; and sort all the wildlife photos collected!

For more information and to apply, please see the application form.

The application will be open until 9am on Monday, January 7, 2019. After the closing date, we will review all applications and notify volunteers by Monday, January 14 about their placement and training dates.

Please note that volunteer slots are limited and while we will strive to place all volunteers, we may not be able to, in which case we will form a waiting list for 2019 and maintain a notification list for the 2020 monitoring season.
