Results are in for the Mayor’s Month of Concern for the Hungry Food Drive. City staff collected 712 pounds of food for the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank, a new donation record for staff. The donation was handed off on October 4th.
On September 4th,
the Mayor delivered a proclamation in support of the Mayor's Month of Concern
for the Hungry. Stores around Issaquah assisted in collecting donations as part of a larger community effort. In total, that community effort helped raise 23,292 pounds of food
and toiletries. That is the equivalent of 11.65 tons!
