Drivers along Newport Way Northwest can expect one-way alternating traffic this coming Monday, September 10 as crews begin to pave the new roundabout at 2290 Newport Way N.W.
The paving work was originally scheduled for a couple weeks ago, but due to a labor union strike, was postponed.
The strike has ended and to ensure paving is completed before cold and rainy season impacts the ability to pave roads, work has been prioritized for this coming Monday.
Work is expected to take place from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
The roundabout is expected to be substantially complete by the end of the year with landscaping to follow.
