Beginning the week of April 30, the City of Issaquah will be begin upgrading approximately 600 street lights to LED technology. The work is expected to continue through mid-May.
In an effort to minimize traffic disruptions, work hours will be from 7 p.m.-5 a.m. on major streets.
Some work will occur adjacent to residential areas, which will be completed before 10 p.m.
The LED street light conversion will be completed from a bucket truck, and is generally quiet. During installation, typically one traffic lane and the adjacent bike lane and sidewalk will be closed off. Cones and flaggers will be used to direct traffic.
For concerns with traffic control or the work in general, contact Lumenal (the contractor), at 800-572-8585.
The City’s point of contact for the project is Bret Heath at 425-837-3470.
