Beginning Nov. 2, crews will be adding flashing beacons –
and upgrading ramps to meet Americans with Disabilities Act standards –
to the pedestrian crossing at East Sunset Way and City Hall.
Crews will be working from 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Mondays-Fridays.
Drivers can expect at least one lane of East Sunset Way to be open at all times, with a flagger alternating traffic. Lane closures will only be allowed between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
During the project, some parallel parking spaces in front of City Hall and diagonal parking stalls along First Avenue Southeast will not be accessible.
Work is expected to be finished in late November.
