The Issaquah Police Department recently received official reaccreditation by the Washington Association of Sheriffs & Police Chiefs — a milestone only 25 percent of police agencies in Washington have achieved and a testament to the professionalism of the department's employees.
The purpose of accreditation is to professionalize the law enforcement industry by providing a review of process for agencies to be certified as operating under industry best practices and standards.
Agency representatives accepted the award in November at the Washington Association of Sheriffs & Police Chiefs’ Fall Training Conference.
