Issaquah can't tackle traffic alone. That’s why the City is working with its neighbors, like King County, on congestion that starts beyond our borders.
On Aug. 2, the City Council approved another regional partnership – this time with the county on a $175,000 study to improve safety and traffic flow along Front Street and Issaquah-Hobart Road corridor, from Interstate 90 to State Route 18.
Traffic currently backs up into Issaquah from King County’s Issaquah-Hobart Road, causing significant congestion along the entire corridor, including Front Street. This study is the next step in identifying the regional solutions that will be needed to make a positive difference in our community.
