[ARCHIVED] Share Your Input: Pedestrian Bridge and Playground

Confluence Park pedestrian bridge

Share your input on the designs selected by the community for Confluence Park's new bridge and playground.

In late 2015, residents and park users chose the proposed timber arch bridge design featuring elements inspired by mayfly wings, and a playground featuring a natural climbing structure and a palisades boulder.

You're invited to share your input with the Park Board at 7 p.m. Jan. 25, 2016, in the Issaquah Trails House, 110 Bush St. The board will then make a recommendation on the final design to the City Council.

Using voter-approved park bond dollars and a state grant, crews will add a pedestrian bridge, playground equipment and soft-surface trails to the park in 2016.

Confluence Park, 595 Rainier Blvd. N., encompasses 15.5 acres and is comprised of three contiguous parks: Tollë Anderson Homestead, Cybil-Madeline Green and Margaret's Meadow.

In November 2013, more than two-thirds of Issaquah voters approved a $10 million park bond measure to improve neighborhood parks and playgrounds, make repairs to Julius Boehm Pool and more. To learn more, go to issaquahwa.gov/parkbond.
