[ARCHIVED] - Volunteer: Help Restore State Park's Natural Areas -

Lake Samammish State Park

Help improve Lake Sammamish State Park.

Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park is seeking volunteers to work in a 1-acre Living Laboratory project removing invasive plants and adding native species over several months. The next event is from 10 a.m.-noon Jan. 23, 2016.

The project is led by the park’s AmeriCorps service person, Aubrey Tingler. Volunteers are welcome to work for one or multiple sessions. Veterans, high school students in need of community service hours and others are encouraged to volunteer.

Dress appropriately for weather conditions. Heavy gloves, tools and refreshments will be provided.

Lake Sammamish State Park is located at 2000 N.W. Sammamish Road. Follow the signs from the main entrance to check-in at the rotunda. Parking is free for volunteers; no Discover Pass is required.
