[ARCHIVED] Project Overview: Puget Sound Energy Transmission Line Upgrade

Puget Sound Energy will start work soon on Cougar Mountain, from Talus to the corner of Newport Way Northwest and State Route 900.

Starting in mid-August, crews will install new distribution wires and upgrade the existing transmission system. The work will improve the reliability of the electric service and reduce the risk of power outages in the area.

Crews from PSE, Potelco and Asplundh will work from 7 a.m.-6 p.m. weekdays through early November. PSE does not anticipate interruptions in electric service.

The project will affect the entrance to Harvey Manning Park at Talus. The park will remain open, but work will take place in the area.
