Crews have started removing invasive plants at Southeast 43rd Way and East Lake Sammamish Parkway Southeast to make way for native plantings.
The work is part of stream and wetland mitigation for the Alta (formerly Mallard Bay) townhome project.
Crews are removing invasive blackberries and noxious weeds. The work is expected to last about a month.
