This major event provides crucial support for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank (IFCB), and this year’s theme – Roads to Resilience – highlights the pressing need to remove barriers to healthy food, vital resources, and connections to essential services.
The annual Recipe for Hope fundraising event will return in person for the first time since 2019 on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Eastridge Church in Issaquah. This major event provides crucial support for the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank (IFCB), and this year’s theme – Roads to Resilience – highlights the pressing need to remove barriers to healthy food, vital resources, and connections to essential services.
Attendees can choose to attend breakfast or lunch, with both including a keynote address from Robin Hamm, Vice President of Social Impact for MOD Pizza, and featuring moving and inspiring stories that illustrate the impact of being able to recover from setbacks, adapt well to change, and keep going in the face of adversity.
“We’ve seen a 50% increase in the number of people accessing our resources while we’ve been contending with inflation and supply shortages at the same time,” said Laura Skelton, Interim Executive Director of IFCB. “Community support is vital to ensuring we can continue to meet the growing need.” For more information about IFCB and how to get involved, visit issaquahfoodbank.org.
