The Specialized Recreation program provides recreational, social and educational opportunities for individuals who have intellectual, developmental, physical or neurological disabilities.
Specialized Recreation program staff provide leadership and overall supervision. Our staff are unable to provide attendant care or provide one-on-one behavior management care. Personal attendants are welcome to participate in our programs free-of-charge when providing one-on-one assistance.
First-time participants are encouraged to set up a meeting with a Recreation Specialist, prior to registering for a program. This will give families an opportunity to ask questions and ensure that the program is a great fit.
Activities led by Parks & Recreation Staff include bowling, choir, dance, drama, field trips, Special Olympics and more. To see what is currently open visit the registration page.
