East Lake Sammamish Parkway Drainage Improvements

Project Overview

The City is constructing new culverts under East Lake Sammamish Trail and SE 51st Street to improve stream flow, natural habitat, and reduce flooding impacts in North Issaquah.

Trail Impacts

Starting in July, East Lake Sammamish Trail users will need to utilize a temporary detour along temporary paths that connect the trail to the sidewalk on E Lake Sammamish Parkway SE around the construction zone. Cyclists are asked to dismount through the detour for safety. Thank you for your understanding.

Traffic Changes

During the project, there will be a closure of SE 51st Street. Road users can utilize a detour along E Lake Sammamish Parkway SE, SE 56th Street, and 220th Ave SE.

Occasional lane reductions on East Lake Sammamish Parkway SE may be required during periods of the project.
