Waste Events and Classes

The City of Issaquah offers free, interactive classes on a variety of environmental conservation topics. Classes below will be held virtually via Zoom. The Waste Collection events are in-person.

Participants are welcome to attend a single class or any combination of the classes.

Safer Cleaning

Identify products that are considered hazardous and find out how to properly dispose of them in Issaquah.

Explore online resources to guide future purchasing choices. Get instructions to make your own safer products at home with common household items.

Where Does it Go?

Learn what happens to materials after they leave our homes. Find out how to manage unusual items in Issaquah and which items belong in recycling, composting or garbage collection at home.

This session will include a representative from Recology, the City of Issaquah’s waste collection hauler. Feel free to bring questions and items you are not sure about.
