The City of Issaquah's Annual Financial Report is prepared by the City's Finance Department in conformance with the State Statute RCW 43.09.230, and with the standards promulgated by the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) of the United States and Canada and the GFOA's National Council on Governmental Accounting.
These standards require statements to present the financial position of the City, provide sufficient information to permit the assessment of stewardship and accountability, demonstrate legal compliance and provide management control and the results of financial operations fairly and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

2020 City of Issaquah Accountability Audit Report
The City of Issaquah actively monitors how it expends public resources. The Finance Department prepares financial updates in an effort to provide a high-level overview of the City's general fund current financial condition. The updates are intended to give the City Council and management a picture of how current finances are doing as compared to budget, focusing on the status of the general fund.
