Pool Renovation
Swim Class

Thanks to support from our voters, exciting changes are happening at Julius Boehm Pool!

In 2013, voters overwhelmingly approved a park bond measure that includes $5 million for pool enhancements and repairs.

Our efforts to modernize and upgrade the pool started in December 2014. The pool closed in late November 2014 and will reopen by Sept. 8, 2015.

When the facility reopens, improved amenities will greet our guests. The project will add new changing rooms, lockers, restrooms and showers. Other upgrades will include a new pool liner and a deck coating that's gentler on bare feet.

Once the project is complete, the pool will offer better access and services to guests with disabilities.

We're committed to conserving energy, which is why we're also investing in improved heating and air conditioning systems, high-efficiency boilers, LED fixtures and advanced control systems to monitor energy use.

The pool closed in late November 2014 and will reopen by Sept. 8, 2015.

In November 2013, more than two-thirds of Issaquah voters approved a $10 million park bond measure — the centerpiece of which is $5 million for pool enhancements and repairs.

Bond funds will also be used to protect open space and wildlife habitat, and improve neighborhood parks and playgrounds.
