  3. Public Hearing - Olde Town Subarea Plan

    The Planning Policy Commission will hold a public hearing, continued from Jun. 21, to take additional public testimony on the proposed amendments to the Issaquah’s Olde Town Subarea Plan, originally adopted in 1999, including: 1. Updating vision, goals and strategies regarding Community, Connectivity & Mobility, Environment, Economic Vitality and Housing; 2. Proposed boundary changes to the Olde Town Subarea; and 3. Addition of Short-Term and Longer-Term Actions The proposed Olde Town Subarea Plan amendments may change as a result of the public review process.

    Join the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce for its upcoming Candidate Forum and Luncheon. The forum will include 10 candidates running for the U.S. Senate; five candidates for Washington’s 8th Congressional District; four for State Legislative District 5; and five running for State Legislative District 41. Meet with candidates one-on-one both before and after the presentations. Spaces are limited, and the deadline for registration is 5 p.m. July 9.

    In partnership with the Washington Blues Society, the Downtown Issaquah Association (DIA) is excited to announce its third season of Gas Station Blues. In addition to amazing blues music, there will be a beer garden sponsored by Rogue, and BardsleyQue will be on site serving up mouthwatering BBQ with all the fix in's. Come early and picnic on the grass, or enjoy one of the fantastic galleries or restaurants along Front Street before the show. Bring your own chair; a funky and/or decorated chair could win you a prize! This is a free, all-ages event open to the public.

    This week, enjoy the music of SB Slim and Dick Minott, who are 30-year blues guys specializing in acoustic back-porch blues.
