About

Councilmember Goodman currently holds Position Number 5 on the City Council.

  • Elected: Nov. 7, 2017
  • Term Expires: Dec. 31, 2021

Stacy has served on the City Council since 2011, when she was appointed to fill a vacancy. She currently is in her second full term. She has been an Issaquah-area resident since 1989, living first in Mirrormont on Tiger Mountain until 2004, when she and her family moved within the city limits. They were drawn to Issaquah for its natural beauty and public schools.

Stacy’s involvement in the community started in 1996 at the Issaquah Press, where she was a passionate and award-winning reporter and editor covering local and state government, elections and schools. As a result, Stacy’s historical knowledge of the Issaquah community runs deep.  Stacy then changed careers in 2004 to attend law school. She has practiced law at Issaquah firm Carson Noel, PLLC since 2007.

As a Councilmember, Stacy has pledged to ensure that the City becomes more proactive (not reactive) about transportation and growth issues, and more welcoming of citizen engagement.

Stacy was raised in Eugene, Oregon. She graduated from the University of Washington with a communications degree and from the University of Oregon School of Law. Stacy and husband Tim live in Issaquah Highlands. They have two sons and three grandchildren.
